Getting Settled In

Whewww!! I am finally unpacked in winkler in my basement suite!
It feels good to not be living out of a suitcase again!  The lady upstairs seems to be very nice--she even brought me down a peice of chocolate zuchinni cake :) it was delicious.  I always smell delicious baking and cooking upstairs!!  Today I finally hooked up my internet!  I have been so bored lately with no tv and no computer and no friends! My life has been homework, school, sleep, eat and do dishes!

So class has started and i have been busy doing homework and reading and doing questions!! there is a lot of information so far!  I cant wait for the weekend...

So i have some really exciting news!  I have signed up for a trip to Guatamala!!  I go next June with 3 other girls in my class and we do a dental clinic there for anyone to come to.  They also set up a medical clinic and a large group of health workers go along for ten days and help treat and educate patients.  I am super excited for this experience.  I think it will be great!  We fundraise for all our supplies and for our trip costs-so it doesnt cost me to go.  All I do is go-show up and work!  While we are there we stay in a monestary and do a lot of driving around from community to community.  So if anyone wants to donate some toothpaste, toothbrushes, shoes, etc, that would be great!

But I better go finish my homework and head to bed :)  im tired!

Almost done work!

I should be done working for the summer on tuesday the 23rd.  We are taking the seniors up to the Red Barn Market in Kenosee on Sunday the 21st, so I am looking forward to that :)

I have really enjoyed working at Seniors Helping Hands this summer, someday when I have the time and money to donate, I would like to help out with something in the community like that.  Volunteers are what keeps things like this going.

I start classes in Winkler on August 29th, and still am not sure where I will be living! Hopefully I find something soon!!

I have been very busy lately trying to finish up my hours at work and trying to get immunizations and medical/dental checks done for school!  Also, trying to find an apartment and now getting student loan stuff going!  I hope I have money soon so I can pay for tuition and supplies!

Also, I am getting a new car!  I have traded off my car and have been bumming vehicles off of dad and Riley, and I should get my car around the end of August or beginning of September!!  I am excited, I hope I get it before school starts though!  I am getting a new ford focus- just a little 4 door sedan!  It should be good on gas- pretty practical for a student.

The Making Of A Blog

Well today I became really bored and wasn't sure what I should do, so I was thinking about how fast school is coming up (Aug 29th) and I thought I would start a blog for fun and so that my family can come and check and see what I am up to!  I am not really sure how this all works but I am sure I will figure it out soon enough!
